Associate of Ministry

The Associate of Ministry (AM) program is designed for those applicants who have limited or no undergraduate college credit but have a burning desire to serve in ministry. The Associate of Ministry program is suitable for Deacons, Elders, Sunday school teachers, ministry leaders, and others serving in lay leadership positions in the church in mission fields.

Admission Requirements The applicant must present evidence of completion of a high school diploma or GED and present evidence of dedication in some ministry field.

Course Requirements – The Associate of Ministry is a 60 credit-hour degree equivalent to a two year junior or community college degree. A core of 48 credit-hours must be earned. Students entering this program enroll in the same courses that are required for a Bachelor of Biblical Studies degree.

Bachelor of Biblical Studies

The Bachelor of Biblical Studies (BBS) program is designed to provide a broad biblical, theological and practical foundation for those preparing to invest their lives in church or mission vocations which require academic credentials to gain ordination.

Admission Requirements – The applicant must present evidence of completion of a high school diploma or GED and present evidence of dedication in some ministry field.

Course Requirements – The Bachelor of Biblical Studies degree requires 120 credit-hours. A core of 96 credit hours.

Master of Theology

The Master of Theology program is designed to provide a broad biblical base for those who have graduated from a Bible college with a Bachelor of Theology or a Bachelor of Biblical Studies, or from secular college. The student is expected to attain comprehension of a foundational framework of biblical and theological truths, a commitment to a lifestyle based on Christian character and capabilities in research and communication of biblical truth.

Admission Requirements – The applicant must present evidence of completion of a Bachelor degree program, as well as evidence of dedication in some ministry area.

Course Requirements – The Master of Theology degree requires 48 credit-hours. A minimum of 36 credit hours must be completed.

Master of Divinity (M Div)

The Master of Divinity (MDiv) is a professional degree designed for those who have a bachelor’s degree and are serving, or preparing to serve, on a church staff or in other ministry positions. Students develop competencies in Biblical theology, church history, doctrine, spiritual formation, as well as servant leadership skills required for local church ministry. The curriculum may be completed in two years, although many students take longer due to family, church, and job responsibilities.

Course Requirements – The Master of Divinity degree requires 48 credit-hours. A minimum of 36 credit hours must be completed.

Doctor of Ministry (All Ph.D’s)

The Doctor of Ministry (DMin) is the professional degree designed to help bring your leadership to the next level in the Church and in Christian organizations. You will learn how to effectively combine academic research with applied ministry strategies; and explore solutions for your ministry needs and the needs of the mission church in your area and around the world. You will experience personal, professional, and spiritual growth leading to greater effectiveness for ministry leadership in the 21st century church.

Course Requirements – Must have BS and Masters

Study for the degree of doctor of theology extends through three stages: coursework, Knowledge Area Modules (KAM), and applied ministry project. Candidates for this degree must fulfill the following:

  • 64-82 credit hours of coursework + Thesis

Dissertation

Your dissertation should be a project for the implementation of helping improve your country, village, city or state.
