The Sins of the Father and Resulting Curses

The Sins of the Father and Resulting Curses are the sins or patterns that have come down through the generations of a person’s family – sins or patterns such as alcoholism, abuse, anger, fear, sexual sin, hoarding, pride and rebellion.

Ungodly Beliefs

Ungodly beliefs are lies people believe about themselves, others and God. Every area of our lives is colored by these lies. Our perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors are the result of these beliefs – beliefs the majority of the time we are unaware of – but God wants us to become aware so we can be healed. God wants us to walk in truth, His Truth, and not lies.

Soul/Spirit Hurts

Soul/Spirit Hurts are hurts that arise from painful and/or traumatic situations/experiences we have had. These traumas cause ungodly beliefs to develop. Often these experiences occur in childhood and situations/experiences that are the same or similar will reinforce the lies that have developed, cementing them in our subconscious. God wants the power of these ungodly beliefs broken as His Word says “but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Rom. 12:2 NKJV).

Although Christians (those who have accepted Christ as their Saviour and Lord), cannot be possessed by demons, they can be harassed, tormented, afflicted and oppressed by them. Oppression comes because we unknowingly open doors that allow demonic influences to enter our lives; doors such as consulting psychics, palm readers, reading occult books and/or tarot cards, engaging in ESP, and other such activities. Some of the ways oppression can manifest is in the form of thoughts of accusation, unforgiveness, temptation, terror, compulsive thoughts, lethargy, blocked memories, gluttony, gambling, illness, and exaggerated emotional states such as anger, fear, anxiety, shame and attempts at stopping a person from getting saved.

Our prophetic Christian life coaching is also used by the Holy Spirit to bring healing where there is unforgivenss, codependent relationships, ungodly covenants with a person, organization or thing, and the spirits of control, shame, fear, rebellion, pride and rejection. God moves prophetically to heal, deliver and restore.

God wants us to be healed in the area of unforgiveness because it keeps us from being forgiven by God, hinders our relationship with Him and causes us to be turned over to the tormentors (read Mk. 11:25-26, Mat. 6: 14-15, Mat. 18:35).

Codependent Relationships

This Prophetic ministry focuses on helping those who are in codependent relationships which is the process in which a person loses him/herself to gain the approval of another person(s).

Ungodly Soul Tie

It’s a covenant which invisibly ties two people or the person and organization or thing together. These ties can be sexual as well. These ties interfere with our relationship with God and if they are of a sexual nature, they interfere with marriages.

Control

People try to control others and/or situations for three reasons: power, to avoid pain or to fill a void as when there is no one else to do a task and we step in. The most frequent reasons for control is to avoid pain, to keep others from finding out those things about us we are ashamed of and want to keep hidden. However, God does not want us to walk around in shame and the truth of the matter is we really don’t have control of anyone or anything except ourselves. The only one truly in charge is God Almighty. But the sad fact is that many of us do not believe this and we don’t trust God.

Shame

For many people there are things we have done, said or thought that we would rather die than have anyone find out about. Sometimes the shame comes from issues in our families, for example having been abused or being born illegitimately, or abusive relationships. Sometimes shame arises from our negative perceptions of ourselves that if people really knew what we were like they would reject us. Whatever the reason, the shame binds us and keeps us from becoming what God wants. Jesus came to set the captives free and desires for us to walk in the liberty and freedom He has provided through His blood.

Fear

Often works together with shame and control due to our concern that someone will find out what we are really like. Many are afraid they won’t have enough of something (money, praise, food, love) because they believe there’s only a limited amount which frequently leads to jealousy especially in the church. There are times when traumas we’ve sustained have led to certain fears (of the dark, of attack, etc), but, the Word of God clearly states He has not given us a spirit of fear (2 Tim 1:7).

Rebellion

The dictionary defines rebellion as “resistance to, or defiance of, any authority, control or tradition.” God has put those who are in authority in their positions whether we like them or not (see Ps. 75:6-7). Unless those in authority are telling us to do something illegal or against the Word of God, we are to be obedient. If they are wrong, God will deal with them. However, to rebel against those in authority is equal to rebelling against God and that cannot end well. In the first book of Samuel chapter 15:23 it states, “For rebellion (is as) the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness (is as) iniquity and idolatry…” (KJV). God is looking for those who desire to hear AND obey Him.

Pride

There are people who are proud of their heritage, education, socio-economic status, possessions, etc. It is okay to be happy about these things, but when you allow these things to make you feel as if others are beneath you, then you are in the danger zone. The twelfth chapter of Romans verse 3 clearly says we should not think more of ourselves than we ought. Pride is what led to Lucifer getting kicked out of heaven and just as it led to his downfall it will certainly lead to ours. Remember “pride comes before the fall, a haughty spirit before destruction” (cite Scripture).

Rejection

The experience of being rejected is painful and everyone has experienced it. Some were rejected before they were born, meaning their parents didn’t want them possibly because they felt it wasn’t the right time, there wasn’t enough money, they wanted a boy and found out they were having a girl. Some have been rejected by family, friends, classmates, and/or strangers. People don’t want to be rejected and many will do whatever they can do avoid it. Some people expect it before it comes or perceive it when it hasn’t occurred. Jesus knows what it’s like to be rejected. While here on earth He was rejected by the very people who should have been overjoyed at His appearance. He continues to be rejected to this very day by millions of people. He wants to heal you of the pain you felt as a result of being rejected. Jesus wants you to know how important you are to Him, however, you probably won’t believe it until you’ve been healed because being rejected affects your self-esteem.
